The 14th and the current Prime Minister of India, Narendra Damodardas Modi is now very famous personality in India as well as internationally since 26 May 2014. He is the leader of BharatiyaJanta Party (BJP). Before being prime minister he was an ideal Chief Minister of Gujrat from 2001 to 2014 who uplifted the social and economic status of Gujrat to very high level. He was the third children of six children to DamodardasMulchandModi and HeerabenModi. He belongs to OBC Family. Modi used to help his father to sell tea as a child and he used to work on his own tea stall too. From very early age he was active participants in debate and theater. He has got introvert nature and prudent lifestyle. He is the second most followed leader in the world. Apart from the political career, he is also called as a fashion icon by the introduction of his half-sleeved tunic-shirt which he wore during the visit of USA. It has drawn high public and Media attention. That dress is trended to be called ‘Modi Kurta’. He was engaged to a local girl of his place named Jasodha at the age of 14 and married to her at the age of 18. But he has kept his marital relationship secret for his career ambitions. During the emergency state in India from 1975 to 1977, many oppositions and ‘pracharak’ of RSS were jailed and some were forced to go underground. That was the time he actively and constantly was involved in the activities of RSS and he used to print pamphlets relating to opposing the government and posting them to Delhi. In 1985, he was formally assigned to BJP (on the recommendation of RSS)as Organizing Secretary of a Party in Gujrat which initiated his step in Politics. He organized different ‘Yatra’ in 1991 and his democratic strategy was considered in the central to BJP victory in 1995 in State Assembly Elections. Due to his effective strategies which helped the Party win major elections in 1998, he was promoted to General Secretary in that Year.
Due to falling health and different allegations of Keshubhai Patel, BJP national leadership wanted to appoint anew candidate for Chief Minister and Narendra Modi was chosen as are placement on the basis of his strategy making, speech, and influential skills. After lots of issues being resolved, Modi was administered to Oath Office and he won the election in 2002 and became Chief Minister of Gujrat.
He made different policies for the development of Gujrat and he successfully did it. Then after he was appointed to the BJP Parliamentary board and approved to be the party’s national executive for general election campaign for 2014. And later he was announced to be the candidate for Prime Minister in LokSabha Election and candidature for two constituencies; Varanasi and Vadodara and he won both constituencies. After the results of LokSabhaElections, he was unanimously elected as the leader of BJP and appointed as a prime minister of India by India’s president. He swore as a Prime Minister of India on 26 May 2014 at RashtrapatiBhawan.
